The main idea of this promotion was to raise funds to support environmental research programs. The Save the Earth Foundation wanted to raise funds to further their environmental programs. Premium Network secured the participation of the Steve Miller Band. In conjunction with the sale of preferred seating tickets to Steve Miller's San Francisco Bay Area concert, Premium Network produced a post-concert backstage artist reception for participating donors. Premium Network created and executed a cause-related advertising, promotional, and public relations campaign which included: Placing point-of-purchase contest counter card displays at 65 Wherehouse Records locations Securing promotional radio spots Writing and placing public service announcements Securing contest prizes and food and beverage donations Writing and pitching news releases Designing and executing a direct mail campaign to a narrowly targeted list Seen at right, P.O.P. contest counter card display.
